The Society of African Missions (SMA) was founded in Lyon, December 8, 1856 by Bishop Marion Brésillac. Its members, priests and laity, work among Africans, especially in Africa.

The Society of African Missions has 1009members coming from Africa, Americas, Asia and Europe.
