These newly ordained priests symbolize the Church's future and an unwavering commitment to serve God's mission in various corners of the world. Among these newly ordained priests are individuals hailing from diverse backgrounds and countries, each on a unique journey to the priesthood.

In a momentous occasion, the Society of African Mission (SMA) extends its heartfelt congratulations to Sr. Mary T. Barron, OLA, Superior General of the Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of the Apostles, on her election as the new President of the International Union of Superiors General (UISG). This esteemed position will see Sr. Mary at the helm of UISG until May 2025, marking a significant milestone in her dedicated service to the Church and her congregation.

The SMA General Council and confreres serving the Generalate, also known as SMA Curia, gathered at the tranquil Centro Ad Gentes, a Conference & Retreat Center run by the Divine Word Missionaries (SVD) in the picturesque village of Nemi in the Alban Hills of the Province of Rome. This assembly, spanning from September 10th to 13th, 2023, bore the theme "Missionaries United in Prayer and Service to the SMA," signifying the guiding vision for the forthcoming pastoral year.

On Saturday, 9th, September, this historic occasion was highlighted by a solemn Eucharistic celebration, presided over by the esteemed Primate of Gauls, Archbishop Olivier de Germain.

On the occasion of the 400th anniversary of the apparitions of Sainte Anne in Sainte Anne d'Auray, the spiritual family of the Society of African Missions is participating in the celebrations organized by the Church of the Diocese of Vannes, from July 15th to August 20th, 2023.
